Our Turkeys

BRONZE TURKEYS

We raise our bronze feathered turkeys on our spacious Kent farm. Unlike some 'free range' turkeys that may be outside for a matter of weeks, our free range bronze birds are outside every day, from about 6 weeks old. Our Free Range Bronze turkeys are free to stroll around glorious grass meadows, taking in the fresh air & countryside.

Turkeys naturally huddle together for safety and warmth and at night the free range turkeys stroll back to their evening residences each night at dusk.

Made up from over 13 different traditional bronze breeds, our free range flocks represent true diversity & display the natural characteristics of birds living in the wild… they are seen forming hierarchy’s, taking dust baths & roosting on low tree branches. All are raised on an oat rich cereal diet with no growth promoting nasties & additional nutrients come from grazing on the surrounding vegetation.

TRADITIONAL WHITE TURKEYS

Our classic white feathered turkeys were first introduced by John Howe in the 1973. We have grown them for every Christmas since, & they are still just as popular today.

Maintaining the highest welfare standards, our Traditional White turkeys are raised in spacious barns with natural light, ventilation & straw bales for play. They are served only the finest balanced cereal diet, which is rich in oats & free from any growth promoting nasties.

We believe that variety is the spice of life, which is why our flocks are made up from over 14 different white-feathered traditional breeds. This not only provides a favourable rich diversity throughout the flocks, but enables us to naturally achieve all the weight categories required.
